How the children had life in the 1800s was they only got their clothes wash once a week. When they are in first grade they get a slate and they keep it to all the way to eight grade. The teachers had to be 13 to 18 years old if they were older than that they would be a old man/woman.

Life in the 1800s sounds pretty fun actullay. School was different back then. The used slates instead of paper, you got spankings and if you did something wrong then you would wear the dunce hat and work in front of the class the rest of the day. Laundry was different too. They didn't have washing and drying machines you used soap and a rubbing thing and then you had to hang it on the drying rack and when the clothes were dry they inorned the clothes. When you were 13 years old you could start teaching but if you went past 18 years old you were called an old man/woman.

Back then for the children was very unfair for the boys. The boys were always last plus the girls got there own room. The children never get the education until 8th grade. Plus you had to keep your slate until schools over

Life in the 1800s was very different from now. I learned that by going to cracker country today. The school was different you would have slates instead of paper and pencil. The boys in the girls will be separated. You would wash your clothing in a bucket. You would only have about 2 to 3 pieces of main clothing like your dresses, a school dress, A church dress, and maybe if you were plus a play dress. That was basically it! The school house was also a church which is cool. Why have two buildings instead of one? That was a smart idea. You would work hard in the 1800s for sure. One difference that we had is that they had a doctor buggy and now we have an ambulance. One similarity is that we both had a post office. Their way to connect was with maybe a telegram. Basically a letter. That is what I learned.

Not only were the schools divided by genders but the bedrooms were too. Boys and girls were separated. That is different from us because some boy and girl twins still sleep in the same room. The 1800s were surely different from us. Another thing I learned is that you could marry your family members!!! And you can marry at 13!!! I want to say is that is just weird. That is not allowed now! Thank goodness........

Life during the time of the crackers and cowboys, life was much different and harder for children. At school you would have one slate to keep 'till eighth grade. Children would have about two to three outfits. One for school, one for Sunday school, and if your family is rich you may have a play outfit. Also children's toys were different to. They played with things like Jacob's ladder, trapeze guy, e.t.c. Life was different because they didn't have A.C. Instead ( at school ) they would turn on a heater or open windows. Lastly, life was different on how the way they did laundry. They would have a " Washing Day " and wash the clothes in a definitely non-high-tech washer.( same with ironing ) In all at cracker country we learned many new things. I am in awe, I love learning about are history of good old Florida!!!😻

Life in the old end days was very different from now!! The girls always got to go first in everything. Also some people got married when they were 13!! They should go to church all day not 2 hours like it is now a days!! They got a skate when they were in kindergarten and use it threw 8th grade!! And guess what.. they didn’t have Walmart or Publix back then so they should have to make everything from scratch it’s CRAZY to think about!!! Bye! ✅✅✅

The 1800s was not that fun so let me tell you some facts. Back then the kids did not have a sheet of paper or a pencil. They had slates and chalk. Also the teachers could spank the kids and they had to wear dunce hats. I learned how to make butter and crackers. They also did not have ac.

Life in the 1800’s,in my opinion, was pretty fun!The punishments though weren’t as fun.You would either wear a DUNCE cap and work up by the teacher,or you would have a spanking.Yep by the teachers.Crazy right!!You know what’s even crazier, you could be married by 13 and have a baby.Let me back up to go back to talking about schools. You would start school in first grade and continue until eighth grade.During that time you would have something called a slate which is like paper and pencil (paper wasn’t really affordable back then).School houses would also be your church, they may be smarter than some people are today(the people who decided to make it that way). They also would have some days where they would wash and iron your clothes, but scince you didn’t have too many clothes it would be easier.

Life back in the pioneer days were pretty harsh. Kids went to school bare footed. They only wore shoes to church or and fancy place or event. Schools really had no paper to write on because paper was expensive back then. So they used a easel and it was kinda like a little chalk board to write. To erase they used cloth. Youngest gets the messed up cloths. It wasent common for kids to get married at 13! That was really how a kid would had lived.!

Today at Cracker Country we learned about life in the 1800's. Back then the ladies always went first in line and almost always were separated from the men. They used to make all of their own things and farmed for food and money. The 1800's were a lot different than today .

The children had to bring what they were going to get smacked with when they were bad kid went to school bare foot to!They only wore shoes to fancy places and church, they did not use paper or pencils because they cost way to much so they used chalk boards and chalk and teachers could do what ever they wanted to the kids and if you were 13 you could be a teacher but you could not be married. The experience was really fun and we got to make candles that smelt like honey and we made really good butter.I learned that lady’s always go first like always.I also learned that if you were little you had to ware bad clothes small and rusty clothes. So that is how really kids lived that is really cruel right.

It is different because they have to go out and hunt food.We just drive to wallmart or Publix. They have to write with slate and chalk. We write with a pencil and paper. The homes are very small. Our homes are very big and comfortable. So in all we are very different from back then.

Life in the 1800’s was very different back then. They didn’t have electricity and if they did it was only a few small houses 🏡 and they hadn’t invented electronics. When the kids went to school or anywhere they didn’t have shoes 👠 👞 👟 unless they were going to church ⛪ and if you did you were very lucky 🍀 and your shoes were most likely hand-me-downs. Church ⛪ was an all day thing and the only breaks were if you had to go to the bathroom or you were eating lunch 🍴 🥙 🥗 . Boys learned how to hunt, build, etc from the men. Girl learned how to sow, clean, cook, etc from the ladies. School was segregated by sex and girls on the left boys on the right because they each had to learn different things.

Pioneers led a very hard life. They had to hunt and kill their food. They always had to be prepared for a storm for there was no TV or News.

How it was like for the people in the pioneer days was hard. Here are some of the reasons why. Back in the pioneer days kids would barely have shoes, so they had to walk bare footed. The kids would have to work like the parents would have to.Other job was that they would have to make butter with a gadget to mix it around to make the milk into some butter. The last thing is that they would have to make some candles with beeswax.

Back in the 1800s it was unfair for the boys because they have to let the girls go first. The part I liked was the boys were separated from the girls. Back then they were very strict. When you wanted to talk you had to stand then talk. Back then it was horrible. You had to use the same slate the whole time.
