In the problem you just have to add 3,437 and 942 witch equals 4,379. How you get that? You first add the 7 and 2 witch equals 9. And in the tens place it’s 30 and 40 witch equals 70. In the hundreds place you add 400 and 900 witch equals 1,300 you bring the thousand over and keep the 300. In the thousands place you add 1,000 and 3,000 witch equals 4,000 altogether you have 4,379.

Katie and Steve have 4,379 total stamps together. If you have 3,437 and you add 942, you get 4,379 because seven plus two is nine, three plus four is seven, four plus nine is thirteen and carry the one to the thousands, and you get 4,379.

In total Katie and steve have 4379 in total because if you do 3437+942 that equals 4379 so in total l they have 4379.

The first thing I did was write both numbers down. Then, I added seven and two. That equals nine, so I wrote 9 down in the last digit. And then, I added three and four, that equals seven. So I wrote seven down on the second digit. Finally you will add the third numbers. They are four and nine. That equals thirteen, but you can’t put thirteen there! So you have to regroup. You will put the ones there, (3), and then add the ten to the thousands! So now it will be four thousand. The complete answer to that question is four thousand, three hundred, seventy-nine.

In all Katie and Steve have 4,579 stamps. I figured this out by adding the ones place then the tens place then the hundreds place and adding the thousands place. That is how I figured out that the answer was 4,579 stamps.

So 3,437+942=4379 and if you put it in expanded form it will be like this is how I do 3437 in expanded form.

The first thing I did was I wrote down the numbers. Then I added the ones and I got 9. Next I added the tens and got 7.Then I added the hundreds and got 13. Since I have a number that greater that 10, I have to regroup so I put a 1 on top of the 3 in the thousands place and put 3 for the answer. Last I added the 3 in the thousands place and got 4 because of the regrouping. The answer I got was 4,379.

So you add 7+2=9 so then you add 3+4=7.So then you add 4+9=3.Then last you regroup 4+0=4 so 4,379

Katie in total has 4,379. How I got that is by adding all the numbers up. I started in the one's place 7 plus 2 is 9, then I moved to the ten's place and added 3 plus 4 equals 7 then I went to the hundred's place and added 4 plus 9 is 13 so the 3 in the hundred's place and the 1 goes on top of the 3 in the thousand's place so then I added 3 plus 1 and that equals 4. That is how I got the number 4.379.

Katie and Stephen have a total of 4,379 stamps together. If you have 3,437 + 942 will equal 4,379. Seven plus two equals nine, three plus four equals seven, four plus nine equals thirteen. Then put the one in the thousands place. Then that would equal 4,379.

If Katie has 3,437 stamps and Steve 942 stamps. So first Katie has more than Steve does in stamps. To should start you add 7+2=9 then 30+40=70. 900+400=1,300.So you have to regroup so1,000+3,000=4,000 so the answer is 4,379.

In the question it states that Kaitie has 3,437 stamps in her collection. It also states that Steve has 942 stamps in his collection. So what I did was add the to numbers because the question says in all which means that you are adding. So when you add you should have the sum of 4,379.

The first thing I did was add 3437 + 942 equals 4379. Next I regrouped 3437 and 942 to get the whole number. Then I added the 2+7 and got 9 then I added 40 +30 together to get 70, after I added 900+400 to get 1300. Finally I added the 9+70+1300+3000 and got 4379.

first i would start with the ones unit 7 and 2 give you 9 ones .Next move to tens unit. 3 tens and 4 tens that make's 7 tens, which is 70 4 hundred, and 9 hundrred and 4+9 equals13 so you have to add the 1 to thousand so the thousand become a 4 so the maine answer is 4,379

First I added 7+2=9. then I added 3+4=7. then 4+9 but I have to regroup so 1 goes above 3 and 4+9=13. and finally I added 1+3=4 and that’s 3,437+942. (4,379)

The first thing I did was add the ones. 7+2=9. Then I added the tens 30+40=70. Next I added the hundreds 400+900=1300 since it equals 1,000< you have to regroup the one to the thousands and keep the three hundred. Last I added the thousands 3,000+(Regrouped)1,000=4,000. In expanded form that would be 4,000+300+70+9=4,379.

First I counted 7+2 which equals 9. Then I added 4+3 which equals 7. Next I added 9+4 which equals 13 so I regroup 13. The 1 goes above the 3 in the thousands place. Lastly, I add 3+1 which equals 4. So Katie and Steve have an amount of 4,379 stamps.

I used addition so 7+2=9 3+4=7 4+9=13 then you carry the one so 1+3=4 so Katie and Steve have 4379 stamps together.

I read the problem, and saw the numbers 3,437 and 942.I noticed that it said ,”In all”,at the bottom and in all means add. So I added 3,437+942=4,379.I had to regroup,Here is how I worked my problem out.

Katie has 3,437 and Steve has 942. If you add the 7and the 2 it makes 9. Then add the 3and the 4, it makes 7. In the hundreds place you have to add 4 and 9, but it makes 13, what you have to do with the 1 is to put it in the thousands places. Then the 3 turns into a 4. all together the sum is 4,379.

So what I’m adding is 3437+942=4379 how I got the answer is in added the 2 and the 7 witch equals 9 witch goes in the ones place and then I added the 3 and 4 witch = 7 and it goes in the tens place then I added the 9 and 4 witch equals 13 and I had to carry the one and put it in the thousands and in the thousands place is the four and then there’s your answer 4379.

First I looked to see what the problem was then I added 3,437 and 942. First I added two and seven together which makes nine. Then I added four and three which adds up to seven. Next I added nine and four which equals thirteen so had to carry the one making the next problem three plus one which equals four. That’s how I found the answer of 4,379 stamps.

So you add Katie and Steve which equals 4,379. So first you add 7+2 equals 9. Then you add 4 and 3 equals 7. After you add 9+4 equals 13 so now you have to regroup put the three on the bottom and the 1 on top equals 4. The answer is4,379.
